complex regional pain syndrome (crps/rsd) uk awareness

just telling the story
i had a spinal cord stimulator so no easy operation or on that i took lightley and quite a while to even decide to be allowed to be  put forward for it. i had the trail of the scs in march the scs worked for 72hrs the elecrtrodes fell off my spine but because it was very good it proved it self to be worth going ahead.
so after reopening of my spine the full scs pernament was fitted wich also stopped working 3 days in a rep had to be called bck in to reprogramme i was made to feel i was making a big fuss but i wasnt ready to go home with a implant tha was not working .
a week after discharge my bck had become very swollen and senstive i called the contact number i was given and i had to go back i was told it was a electrode sticking up and i may need plastics to take fat from someone and cover the electrode with . if only they had looked further into this cause it was not the case the swelling continued and i had to call local out of hours gps out cpl weeks later i felt so ill i was told my back looked infected this was the friday the sunday morning i collasped ended up in a@e and trnsported bck to russel hall with a huge infection and had a emergency operation to remove the scs trodes from my back, to then be put on iv anti biotics some went all over the bed due to canulars not in properly some missed totally then i get told after a week i have to stay another week cause it was more serious infection and i needed diff anti botics  mrsa wich i was devasted but in this week i was abused by a nurse wich was reported and i lost lower feeling to bowel and bladder, wich i was discharged with but also discharged with oral anti biotics the infection did not fully go till 3 mths later many courses of anti biotics but amonsgt all this i had to have the scs removed fully with the promise it would be refitted the only reason i agreed to this being done but as soon as the next appoitent cae and my gp giving the all clear and expalining the complications had come from excess swelling my body going into shock due to 3 operations on the spine the dr refused to redo the scs and has been paid by my pct and has totally gone bck on everything he said. so from bieing abused by a nurse totally lied too by a consultant traumatised by the whole experiance and now have cental sensilation on top of the codition i already had left with no specalist and given bck to my gp who is totally frustrated with the situation and trying his best to treat two very complex conditions not very succesfully at presant . nobody should have to be put through what i was and you should be able to trust the people that you place your self into thier care. not be abused and lied too surly this is not what the nhs should be this is the short version of what happened but i feel needs making public so it dosent happen to someone else
